Grant began working in the oil and gas industry as a field landman in East Texas and North Texas, and he has practiced as an attorney in the sector since 2008. Grant has authored hundreds of title opinions in Texas, North Dakota, and Utah and has managed numerous acquisition due diligence projects in these jurisdictions. Grant’s practice is focused on providing upstream oil and gas operators and non-operators with services pertaining to mineral title examination, acquisition due diligence, transactions, and title disputes.

Matthew Kornegay

Matt has worked as a transactional oil, gas, and energy law attorney since 2011. Matt has authored and/or reviewed hundreds of matters in each of the following jurisdictions: Texas, New Mexico, and Wyoming. Matt has also been involved and managed numerous due diligence/acquisition matters, several ranging in value from hundreds of millions to billions. Matt has also helped facilitate the drafting, review, and delivery of a multitude of other transactional work product for numerous upstream oil and gas operators. Prior to practicing law, Matt worked as a petroleum landman, and was involved in mineral title examination, due diligence and leasing efforts.

Jorge Franco, Jr.

Jorge advises upstream oil and gas operators and non-operators on mineral title examination, acquisition due diligence, and transactions. He began his career in commercial litigation, representing clients in complex oil and gas, energy, eminent domain, and real estate matters. Jorge later broadened his expertise to include representing small business owners, large companies, and real estate investors in a range of corporate and transactional matters. His diverse background allows him to deliver strategic, business-oriented counsel at the intersection of energy, corporate, and real estate transactions.
